Frozen Houses is the solo project of Cornwall based singer songwriter Alex Hill who has been enjoying rave reviews from his live performances with guitar virtuoso Ashley Height. Their subtle harmonies and acoustic guitar driven sound has drawn comparisons to Kings of Convenience, Paul Simon and Badly Drawn Boy. Frozen Houses released his catchy single “Birmingham Road Birthday Song” in 2015 which featured on BBC 6 Music (Tom Robinson BBC Introducing) and more recently he has been getting well deserved attention for his self-titled debut album which he released in February of this year.
“If a Frozen Houses live performance were a fine meal, I’d be recommending a robust red wine to go with it, a comfortable chair and clearing yourself a good couple of hours to savour every morsel. Fine stuff worth taking time over and that’s a rare and beautiful thing in music these days” Listen With Monger, 2017 Live Review
”Thursday Lights’ is utterly, utterly charming. We could honestly listen to it all day’ BBC Introducing Cornwall, 2017
Born and established in Penzance, Cornwall; Liam Jordan is an Americana/Nu-folk singer-songwriter and street poet, who started out fronting a secondary school rock band with some good friends at the age of fourteen, and eventually gained a reputation as a street performer and ‘young gun’ entertainer in folk clubs and bars around the southwest. It was in and amongst the local music scene where Jordan met some of his musical mentors and picked up all the tricks and techniques he would need for the following fourteen years of his career.
