On Foot From Penzance Railway Station
Cross the main road outside the station and turn up the hill bearing left onto Market Jew Street, the main shopping street of Penzance. Walk up the street until you see the statue of Sir Humphry Davy and the Lloyds Bank building at the top. Pass the Lloyds Bank building and turn left down the hill towards Chapel Street. A few yards down you will see a small Co-Op on your right. Parade Street is the small road just below the Co-Op. The Acorn is about 50 yards along on your right.
By car from A30 Redruth/Truro
From the “Tescos” roundabout on the A30, take the first exit onto Chyandour Cliff. Turn left into Station Road and take the right hand lane signed Town Centre. Follow the road round the hairpin bend and back up the hill, moving to the left hand lane to exit via the slip road onto Market Jew Street. Continue up Market Jew Street to the top. At Lloyds Bank, turn right then follow the road left onto Alverton St. After a few yards, the road widens to form a delivery area/bus stop on your left. Just beyond this is a narrow alleyway on the left leading to Greenmarket Carpark. This is situated just behind The Acorn and there is an alleyway directly from the right hand side at the bottom of the car park to the Acorn’s loading door.
Other carparks are marked on the map above. The carpark at Penlee Park is the cheapest longstay (£1.90 per day). To reach it by road, continue along Alverton St, cross the roundabout and the entrance is about 100 yards on the left. From the bottom left hand corner of the car park, a footpath leads back, across Morrab Road, straight to Parade St and The Acorn.
Please note, there is no public parking directly outside the front of the Acorn.
